Cancellations & refunds

Updated 6 September 2026 · Review version 1

Draft for review — business identity and contact details still need confirming. The enquiry form is inactive. These documents must be completed before enquiries or bookings open.

Current position

This site does not take payments or bookings. This draft explains the intended approach; it needs to be completed alongside written project terms and a working contact route before work is sold.

Before you agree to work

Your quote should identify the supplier, work, price, any goods, payment stages, delivery arrangements and cancellation rights. Any proposed charges for changes or cancellation must be explained in advance and be fair. No blanket “non-refundable deposit” rule is introduced here.

Consumer cancellation rights

For many service contracts agreed remotely or away from business premises, consumers have 14 days after the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason. Exceptions and the way a contract is made matter. Business-to-business contracts have different rules and need agreed terms.

If you expressly ask for a service to start during a cancellation period, and the required information has been given, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for work supplied before cancellation. The right to cancel a fully performed service is lost only where the relevant express consent and acknowledgement requirements are met. We must record these separately when arranging work; a general website checkbox is insufficient.

How to cancel and receive a refund

Once bookings open, send a clear cancellation statement to the contact provided with your quote, identifying the work and contract date. A particular form will not be compulsory. The supplier’s postal and email contact, and the model cancellation form where required, must be supplied before you commit.

For a valid statutory cancellation of a service contract, reimbursement is generally due within 14 days of being informed, subject to any lawful proportionate charge for requested early work. Refunds use the original payment method unless otherwise agreed, without a refund fee. Goods returns and digital-content rules differ and must be explained before those items are sold.

If work is faulty

Cancellation for a change of mind is separate from your rights where services are not supplied with reasonable care and skill or goods are faulty. Appropriate remedies may include repeat performance, a price reduction or other statutory remedies. Nothing here takes away those rights.
